Nancy Silverton, Laurie Ochoa and Ruth Reichl talking about forgotten female cookbook pioneers, changes in food coverage - and the wackiest recipe ever printed.
I really like the idea of you three discussing McKenzie’s experience at the French Laundry and with Thomas Keller. All three of you have the history and perspective that would make for a very thoughtful and riveting discussion.
Was thinking of the difference between David and Child before you mention it. To my mind David had more of a literary style. Talking through when and where the recipe came from rather than Child’s more technical approach. These days I think people like Nigel Slater take that approach.
I can't wait to hear your discussion about the French Laundry non-review. I do hope you follow up. I'm not sure why but it made me very uncomfortable on a few levels.
I would also appreciate discussing McKenzie’s experience at the French Laundry with Thomas. I agree the three of you could shed a different light on this issue. I know what I thought about Mackenzie's experience but also from Thomas'. discussion.

Enjoyed this conversation very much. For your conversation about reviews next week you might want to include Priya Krishna’s review of veau
